grizzly shed?
« on: May 11, 2009, 07:40:03 PM »
just kidding with that subject line but I went out today for the 2nd time this year and was hiking behind a gate in GMU 113 looking for whatever and just enjoying being out in the woods. I spotted alot of deer hair on a spur road below me so I bailed off the edge for a closer look, nothing but a piece of hide, but since I was already on the spur I decided to follow in the general direction I was going anyway, after it ended I was going cross country back towards the road I was on 1st when I smelled something. the wind was blowing uphill so I walked to where I could look down for a ways and saw a bear, after watching it for a minute or 2 it became apparent that it was a GRIZZLY! I took a couple of pics with my phone and will transfer them to a PC so I can zoom in, but damn it why do I always see photo worthy stuff when I leave my camera home?

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
