Once they control the guns they control the people, and not just the dumb half.

Thank the 2 RINO's who allowed it to pass!!  Never fails, Republicans can't get their act together!!

No worries though, our 2 clowns will never do what is right!!  You can bombard them with FACTS and they will still follow ole Chuckie's lead!!

Its a non story, Senate WILL NOT pass it.  The problem is its just more headlines for *censored*s to eat up.  They keep chipping away, piece by piece.

Regardless if it passes or not I will follow the law. "shall not be infringed " as stated in the Constitution.

Those that upsurp that law should be jailed... after a few hours of waterboarding! :chuckle:

If I need a permit and education to buy a firearm than women should need a permit and education  before getting an abortion.

Voting for Democrats is prima facie evidence you are a skirt wearing, low T, beta male. Do better.

Even if it passed someday who is going to enforce it? The military wont as they took an oath to defend the constitution. I dont think police want to go door to door trying to take away these riffles. Maybe the census bureau workers could do it every 10 years LOL

I wonder if mean Tweets by the so called "Orange Man" are considered assault weapons too? There are tens of millions of so called "assault weapons" in circulation and I don't see most people giving them up. It will make a great resale market if anything and will not reduce crime at all. Eric Holder was good at running assault weapons across the border to Mexico and refused the congressional subpoena, yet wasn't attacked like Bannon. We live in a society today where there are at least 2-3 classes of judicial standards. It has a fair chance of passing the senate when you got people like Murkowski and Romney willing to sell out the constitution. Every major police force in the nation as well as federal agency has "assault weapons" but libturds think you can't use them to protect your family or property. Inmates run the asylum. Half of the school shooting are done by people the feds already had notes on but did nothing about in any way shape or form. Stock up on ammo. They want to make ammo restricted next. Anything the libs can do to exert totalitarian control on the masses, even if it has no positive effect on stopping crimes or shootings
Die fish!

Anyone really concerned about this should call and ask their Sheriff or Police Chief if they would go door to door. I asked our Sheriff and I got a quick nope. Of course Sheriffs are elected where Poilice Chiefs are appointed so they have to be careful or their Mayor will send them packing. Put them on the hotseat and see what you get. Would make a good thread.

You have a lot more faith in the police than I do. They have no problem stomping on your rights. They just use the excuse that they don't make the laws. They just enforce them.

I am not allowed to own an assault weapon used in military and law enforcement.  Mine does not have a selector switch.  Theirs do.  Gangs and cartels have assault weapons, the general public cant own them.

Disinformation, lying by media and politicians, is what has half the country believing everyone with an AR has the very same weapons as does the military.  556 and 223 are so heinously deadly and made for killing that we cant even hunt deer with them.  Go figure.

Well maybe thats because I was in the business for 31 years and my Dad was in it before me. And I can assure you that if I was still in the business I would never come to your door for your guns and the many other badge carrying guys would either.  Funny we actually talked about the possibility way back when and all agreed we would never violate the 2nd. I think we are still pretty safe today. I pray a fellow badge carrier never cones to my door for my guns. It just wouldn't end well. Please remember, most guys out there with a badge feel as we do.

Over 20 million ARs in the hands of Americans.
They won't be coming for them.. that'll start a civil war. They'll keep going after accessories, ammunition etc..pass legislation restricting use and transport.
It will be the little things that will add up.

This bill was purely political pandering to try and earn a few more D votes. And it show's what they are capable of if they ever control the house and Senate.  God help us.

I admire your comment to the 2nd amendment.

But history shows, many in law enforcement will do just that.
Many of the firearms illegally confiscated during Katrina, have never been returned. It will happen again. There was a video few days ago, of an ATF officer along with local Sheriff department, showed up looking for firearms that a citizen previously bought.
Asking if he still had them, and could they see them. The owner, unwittingly answered their inquiries. He should have told them to get the heck off his property without a warrant. They antimidated  him into answering what they had no legal right to know.

As long as there are ATF, or any other alphabet soup government agency, willing and to push the boundaries and with local law enforcements help. The only rights we have are those we ourselves stand up for.

No offense, that is what everyone thought in 1994!

Grandfather clause, as required with any of these bills.
They didn't go door to door in 94. Ownership was legal. New purchase was not. They are not ...I hope... stupid enough to go door to door if something like this actually passes..
AR ownership has nearly tripled since the 94 ban expired. They'll legislate AR owner's to death without actually taking away the gun... :twocents:

Our Sheriff already disobeys WA state laws on the banned use of "military style weapons" for LEOs. He has confirmed in writing all "high cap mag bans", "home manufacture bans" and "red flag laws" will not be enforced by his office or staff and are unconstitutional. It doesn't stop there though. We need to be PRO-active. Long gone are the days of "We just want to be left alone." or "I lost them in a boating accident."

Join - https://www.firearmspolicy.org/about These guys already have a lawsuit against WA for the high cap mag ban.
Join - https://www.gunowners.org/ GOA has lawsuits filed against the Biden admins ban on "ghost guns".

And the 94 ban was basically all about features---pistol grip, bayonet lug, forward grip, collapsible stock type stuff.  Could still get ARs, just not the tacti-cool ones.

Yep, you could still buy brand new ones for the entire life of the "ban".  They just had to be within the guidelines.  Same with high-capacity magazines......they were never "banned"........new ones just could not be manufactured.
