Yes! she parked it right on the snow patch.  Good thing too with how warm it got.  Nothing like icing down the quarters and hide as soon as it comes off the bear.

Wow! My first had some real ground shrink.

That is a bear to remember!
Bigfoot is real. He hides in my pants.

Just reviewing the fall bear requirements, I found this:

All successful black bear hunters statewide MUST submit a black bear premolar tooth per WAC 220-415-090. Pre-paid and self-addressed tooth envelopes can be obtained at all WDFW offices (see page 6). The premolar tooth is located behind the canine tooth of the upper jaw.

Successful hunters are required to submit a tooth from their bear to the Department. Please submit within 5 days of harvest or by December 1, 2022.

Seems like a rather large window.  :dunno:

Every drainage is different, but for those of you on the wetside, I was finding mt huck's 1000-2000' in the forested areas. SW facing slope...I'm sure theres some higher in exposed areas. Good luck

I did a gutless on my bear, but she was tearing stumps up. The berries haven't quite ripened up yet in the area I got it. She didn't have a bunch of fat on her at all.

I was excited to see the color, it's a real nice chocolate color.
