Putting EL’s on a tripod

How are you running your EL’s on a tripod? I don’t have a outdoorsman head so their stud is out of the question for now. Not really a fan of the rubber strap system, any other things I should check out?

the adapter will screw into an arca plate if that's what you have.

  You don't have to run an Outdoorsman head to use their bino adapter. I switched every head out for 4 of the same Manfrotto heads that I personally like the best and both of my Outdoorsman bino adapters have a Manfrotto plate threaded into them.

I personally haven't used it, but I was looking at the Aziak equipment bino clamp. it clamps around only one of the barrels of your binos and has an arca attachment to clamp right in. Really low profile and light weight.

I hate having to worry about stud mounts, plates, adding the slighest bulk to the bino which always catches on a bino harness. 
I went with a cheap flat plate off amazon, that lives 100% on the tripod.  Binos strap in stupid quick and can come off faster that anything else I have used and then you instantly have a gun rest ready to go.  I have shot off this numerous times after popping binos off of it.
Also, you can drimmel out a lot on the bottom and cut the handle down a little to cut weight.   My full setup that you see is 2lbs15oz.  Not bad for a full setup that you can glass sitting and standing and then shoot off of as well.

The outdoorsmans setup is solid as well and like others have mentioned, don't have to have an outdoorsmans head. I use it on a Sirui VA-5 head with the TY-70A plate.

have some trust and faith.  your 2k binos will not fall out.  Now, don't carry them around on it, but once setting up to glass, set trip, strap binos in and view the world, they aren't going anywhere.

I know you said you didn’t like the rubber strap type it really is pretty good solid and easy
I had my 10x50 swaros using it and they worked great👍
