Worth a try from shore at night? Gonna be up around 7 bays next week and am thinking about letting a night crawler soak overnight

Been shore fishing the mighty Columbia for 35 years and the stories I've heard are outrageously exciting to say the least , I've planned it a few times only to find that nobody my age can stay awake or sober long enuff just to make the drive , wally is real good at night and those critters you speak of , that's why I need someone along , I ain't touching those ugly scicles ,, nope ! But I'm gunna do it sometime for sure , I figger I'll fish during the day , take a nap on the beach then light the lantern's and watch jaws try to get away. , Big Wally's at night I've heard gotta do it soonly though , my naps keep getting earlier and earlier freeeeekn getn old is just stupidly not fun , but don't get me wrong folks , because of a great surgeon I'm a smiling man every giftfulll morning , just wish I could last past noon cuz it's football season DAMIT !
