It seems though Selkirk and 49N are the most popular units--anybody know which is reputed to put out bigger bulls on the public land?

Thanks, I was just trying to understand the logic behind applying only for one unit.  For me, for moose, I selected 4 units, 49 DN being one of them but not my top choice (atleast this year).

My buddy drew in 2007 on the REDRAW with I think 4 points going into it and it was either his 3rd or 4th choice unit.

Did he tag up?  Big bull?

He tagged a bull in the Huckleberry unit.  Would not consider it a big bull by any strecth, a very tasty bull yes, not a big bull to be honest.  He made up for it this past October when we went to Canada taking a beautiful bull.

To be honest he said he just felt a ton of pressure with that Moose tag in his pocket.  He passed on several bulls the first four days of season, and despite having lots of time left, he dropped a very tasty young bull that was an easy pack out.

Isn't that the best kind of moose?  If I ever draw a moose tag that's what I will be looking for... the biggest bull CLOSE to a road.

OMG no way he shot a moose without antlers? that totally bites. I guess you can't eat the antlers but sure would be nice to have them displayed on your wall!!

I thought perhaps you were just giving him a hard time. Didn't realize you hadn't seen the story.  Yeah it goes to show that if you do draw a moose tag it might be best to kill one earlier in the season.
