Testing out my Hawken

Traditions St.Louis Hawken ( Kit Gun I did years ago ) .54cal 1:48 twist, 70gr 3fg Gearhart-Owen, .020" patches, .530" round balls @ 50 yards. 6 shots total.

Nice.

When I pick up my fancy inline, thumbhole stock, stainless steel muzzy, I always have a tinge of longing for my old 54 cal Hawkins.    So many great memories hunting with it......

Your lube works real well and I need to re-order some soon.
