Too many Bears
« on: August 29, 2022, 03:04:54 PM »
First year of no spring bear hunting. Coincidence....

“It’s been a pretty bad year as far as bears go,” Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife Sargent Carlo Pace said of the number of calls received to his department. “We have constant calls and complaints just about every day in the last two months at least.”

Watch I bet the complainers are some of the persons who oppose predator control.

Devil's advocate here... were there spring bear permits in that area historically?

I didn't mean that no spring bear in that area lead to this but more big picture that we have too many bears EVERYWHERE yet they ended spring bear this year

Our state absolutely has an abundance of bears. Apparently everywhere except where I was hunting this weekend    :dunno:   :chuckle:

After listening to the commission, it is pretty obvious that the number of bears plays zero role in setting the seasons or closing seasons.  The price of rice in China likely has more sway than something like biological data or proven game management practices.

It wasn’t the bear numbers or the science that took our spring bear season. It was the incompetence of our commission, their agenda, and the false narrative from the anti’s that did.

Right now there is a large putty tat running around the city of Yakima eating everyones pets.  I find the posts on facebook quite hilarious.   I also see a bunch of bird lovers with bears eating all of their bird seed. LOL   Watching how the other half lives is kinda funny
