Two Days in The San Juans
« on: May 18, 2009, 06:23:00 PM »
I spent Friday evening though Sunday afternoon fishing the San Juans with Graybrow and a friend of his. We did fairly well ending up with 410 shrimp, a 50+lb halibut, 3 legal lings, and various other bottom fish. Here are a few pictures.

you stay on your boat? That looks like a fun trip. See many deer from your boat?
If you shoot the first one you will never get that true trophy.

Yes, we stayed on the boat, friday night anchored in Barstow Bay and Saturday night tied to a dock on Stewart Island.

We saw lots of deer and other critters. For those who have boated by Speiden Is, you know that place has a few exotic animals. Here are a few more pics.

Sweeeeet!  Looks like a ton of fun!
We are taking the boat up there for a week at the end of the summer when the kings are running.

Sounds like a great way to spend the weekend. Nice catch and great pics!

I hunt a property on SJI, across from Spieden and have spent many an hour with the spotting scope Oogling over the big rams over there. Far as I know, Jim Jannard from Oakley still owns it. I'd sure like to bowhunt over there.
May the morning silence be broken with the wisp of vanes trailing blades to their mark.

so that's a private island with the exotics i take it, does anybody know what he put them there for? hunting or is he just one of those eccentric rich guys that like to have weird stuff
