Make Mine a Double! Why Editor Prefers Two Barrels

By Dave Workman
Editor-in-Chief
My affection for double-barrel shotguns goes way back to my youth, and the first firearm I ever bought at retail was a slightly-used side-by-side Beretta 12-gauge Silver Hawk that fit me like the proverbial glove...

I bought a 12 gauge Lefevre SxS awhile back.  I broke it down and put it in the back of the Tahoe ( I was on a trip).  When I got home someone grabbed a duffel bag and the strap hung up on the barrel and the barrel slide out with the bag and fell on the ground.  The locking mechanism bent and broke off.  I threw it right in the trash, I was so disgusted.  Didn't even want to look at it ever again!  :chuckle:

Dave, I have those same chaps.  I think I bought them in 1993, back when Filson was right down the street from Warshal's.

They're great!  Wish I'd have discovered them 35 years sooner.
So, did you read my tome to the double barrel shotgun?

Hey! I'm not a complete idiot I have parts missing. Though sometimes I wonder.

If you want to make God laugh tell him your plans.
