Advice requested
« on: October 25, 2022, 09:18:12 PM »
I have a CVA Cascade rifle in .22-.250.  I have an Axeon 4-16x50mm, Dog Soldier Scope, 30mm tube.  Which 30mm Talley Scope mounts should I go with?  Low, low extended, medium, medium extended, high or high extended?

https://www.talleymanufacturing.com/product/cva-cascade-scope-mounts/

Thanks for any advice!!
Fred Moyer

To be safe and not have to return, use the high extended. They are only 1/10 of an inch higher than meds.
The extended will allow you to move the scope forward or rearward a little more or less.
The only way to know which set is perfect is to have them both present.

unless you're interested in adding a rail

https://www.talleymanufacturing.com/product/cva-cascade-picatinny-rail/

I put one on my tikka and I think medium heigh rings, worked perfect for 50mm scope

What's the advantage of adding a rail?  Thanks

just a lot more options on what you can do,  things like quick release and tons of scope mounting options

turns the top of your receiver into a picatinny rail, like an AR

Understood.  This scope will be mounted and stay on this rifle.  Appreciate the thoughts!
