With there being special permit overlaps with rut deer seasons overlapping the elk general season on the westside, what strategies would you give the deer hunter to avoid conflicts with general season elk hunters who will be using hunting tactics quite different than pursuing rutting blacktails? And, as an aside, how would you handle pulling a legally harvested and tagged deer out of the woods during a general elk season without having 230 phone calls into the WDFW reporting a perceived poacher?
