Does the head tilt on the death grip? The regular non Sherpa one? What kind of angles can you shoot at with it?


No it does not tilt on the death grip.  I see they have another option that looks like the original death grip with updated ball head….allowing tilt.  It’s the bog death grip infinite.  I haven’t spent much time looking at it but it could be pretty amazing.   I imagine the weight is similar to the original so the Sherpa still wins out in the weight dept. if that is important.  It also has twist lock legs which a lot of guys like….I’m not that particular…either twist lock or lever work great.   

As for angle…..steeper than most will ever shoot.  Straight up and straight down if the legs are out of your way.

Oh I meant tilt like up and down/side to side. It looked just flat in the pictures but I think I saw a video online of the same one. They have an aluminum and carbon version? I just want something for off of old logging roads so weight doesn’t matter at all. I’ll pack my bipod in my pack if I’m hiking in

The original functions on two plains….swivel right/left in 360 degrees.  It will tilt up and down for super steep angles but will not tilt or can’t.   The ball head will allow for tilt / can’t allowing you to level your scope on even ground without messing with the legs for level.   If that makes since. 

Carbon is the only way to go in my opinion.  It is quieter, lighter and stronger.
