No elk, but found a big kitty cat at 150 yards.  Shot felt good.  Heard the bullet hit, cat did a backflip clawing at the air, fell over a little bluff, never found him or blood.   :bash:  :bash:
Did i mention it was a BIG cat?  Absolutley sick to my stomach

Sucks you lost the cat, but only good cat is a dead cat. Hopefully knowing you are responsible for saving dozens of ungulates per year will put your mind at ease by not being able to find the cat.
