You'll only find a lot of negativity on any hunting boards about anything other than a 16ft or larger Jon boats, I can tell you from experience a canoe or kayak is a great option when you can't do a boat. No you won't really care to shoot from it, but you can, yes you can even cover up, Just don’t go crazy on hopping around and practice proper movements. Also yes it rains some but when you reach your hunting spot (which will most likely be land bc again you won't want to shoot from it) you can just tip the canoe. yes it will be hard work paddling, yes, it can be dangerous if you try and go to the middle of the skagit river and float down or the middle of skagit bay with waves, but most places you can reasonably paddle to (from amount of energy and time) safety can paddle to(waves, current) have ducks, and are public, will be just fine in a canoe.
