A really really sturdy tripod is critical when digiscoping. Any slight wiggle and forget it.  :twocents: I have never taken quality pictures but its fun for documenting your bucks from a long ways out to keep from spooking them.

I tried to take a pic through my Swaro and couldnt get a good one either, I only tried once though because I had a 400mm lens.

It has been frustrating so far, I am a real novice when it comes to cameras.  The sturdy tripod and the self  timer are very important.  The elk were out at the house all day and I couldn't figure out how to set this stupid thing up.  I think I am getting better though.  I don't plan on any prof. pics just fun while I am scouting.  Should be fun anyway.

You will want a remote shutter control for sure, like others say get a darn good tripod and be prepared to spend a few hundred bucks.

I have a friend that purchased the 80mm HD scope.(he sold 2 guns to get it!!!) He uses Nikon equipment and takes awesome photos. So far he hasn't been happy with the pics he has been getting digiscoping for what he paid? But it is a learning curve. I don't know if he has it figured out yet? I have seen very nice photo's with that setup thou. Keep after it.

If you shoot the first one you will never get that true trophy.

nice fish eagle pics!  That zoom really works.
...sounds too complicated and looks too expensive for my blood though.  I'll just enjoy your results. :chuckle:
