Last i was there it was 4 kings and 6 or 8 coho for a 3 day trip, no worry about fins, and far far fewer people. Hali is typically open as well as other bottom fish. I dont think our US ports offer that kind of opportunity.

I fish Canada with a couple buddies for 5 days for less than 1k per person.
Again, at the Canadian prices to fish their waters, I'd be thinking of a plains game hunting trip to Africa (or a trip to the fish market)......and leaving the wife at home.......too many snakes and crocodiles.
