Hate this weather, thank God for mule tape!
« on: October 03, 2022, 05:55:40 AM »
Son harvested a 4x4 yesterday morning that we watched bed the night before with his buddy. We were there waiting before daylight. Fortunately everything worked out and got 1 of the 2 legal bulls. Was able to pull it to the road with mule tape and blocks. Hate this weather. 85 yesterday. Got home and processed it yesterday. Cleaned guns and ourselves. Went back out for a couple hours last night. Spotted a few cows. Headed out again this morning!

Found a nice bull Friday morning. Was able to get really close on the opener. Was able to watch cows and calves, and had him coming in close. Walking around in circles, and raking trees. Neber gave us a shot though. Spent the whole day in the timber and draws trying to find them again after they meandered off. 8 miles of it took a toll on me. They were able to evade us, but I dont think they went far. Hope I can find him this morning!

Found somebodies arrow from last year in a swampy area by a creek. Maybe after the same bull!
