Winter Phased Ptarmigan
« on: May 13, 2009, 07:53:16 PM »
Here are two more I just finished.  The first bird pictured will be going to a Museum to be displayed in an Arctic Diorama.  The second bird is a customers bird.

You are not going to believe it, but the first pictured birds craw was so full, it had just over a full cup of food from the tundra in it :yike:  For a small bird, that is a lot of food.  I have never ran across that full of a craw before on a smaller game bird. Talk with you all soon ;)  John

awesome work again, John.

The bird is very nice, but the habitat really makes the mount extra nice.  love the ice crystals inthe twigs.
