My guess would have been on the younger end 4.5 maybe.   I probably would have guessed younger, but later on I saw a photo of him from the previous year.

I’m not going to be picky on your photo. All I can say is that deer is a stud and I too would be breathing hard. I’m not sure I would have remembered my gun if I saw a deer like that. Great pic!

And that's why I don't carry my gun on sling and leave the scope on mimimum power. My best buck, not even close to that one, I jumped in a similar situation and neck shot it on the run.

One of the reasons I like to share my photos is that I hope it helps rekindle a memory, or makes you think of what could be.   I’ve lost two bucks bigger than this guy, hunting here in Washington.  One was my mistake and one was another hunters interference.   I had the same pit in my gut when this happened.  Like I said this one turned out better.  Maybe when the snow is deep, I’ll go over those stories on here.  I’m not getting any closer on that book. Lol
