DNR gmu 621 Hood Canal
« on: October 10, 2022, 04:31:17 AM »
My buddy has a road access special use permit for the hood canal state forest (DNR) modern firearm this opening weekend near Hoodssport off of Jorsted road.I was asked to  help/hunt with him when he drew the access permit a view months back. ANY Information would be helpful.I Would love to see him get a decedent buck.
Grill it, fry it, smoke it or just eat it raw

your access is right at the intersection up Jorstad #24 right to hamma and left to Lk Cushman.  I think your gate is right there.

I use to live/hunt out there. Likely to run into a fair amount of hunters. If the weather was nasty, you’d have less folk (but probably better hunting). I’ve walked a lot of gated roads that are “no motor vehicles” or ones you can get behind with a handicap access permit. Ran into guys on quads back there regularly. Once I ran into 2 guys on quads in February who told me they were shooting grouse. They didn’t seem very concerned when I told them the season was closed. If you want some info pm me.
