What folks don’t know about blue teen algae:
Not all blue green algae produce toxin. Toxin can dictate day to day. The toxins are produced when the algae dies off, and the died algae cells float to the. Surface. the toxins can persist for up to 10 weeks after the bloom has died off. But how it usually gets dogs is the algae may sticks on their fur and when licking it off it’s concentrated. Also stay away from the downwind shoreline. That also concentrates the algae on the surface mat.

I had know idea about algae dangers like this so very sorry for the loss of your beautiful pup and thank you for the warning to others
