Doesn't look like much of a storm. If it does snow it won't last or amount to much.

Something else to consider is that if we don't get a good frost and that knocks the leaves off the trees and there is a heavy snowfall it will turn the woods into a jackstraw mess of downed trees across the roads.

I was just adding an electric saw to my wish list of things to buy someday.  I'm not going to go to work for Janicki, but for cutting a couple trees across a road it would be nice to have a saw behind the seat that didn't leak oil and gas all over my truck and take 74 pulls to start and finally get warm just in time to shut it off and melt some hunting gear that falls against the muffler while I'm bouncing down the road.

Try to use a buck knife and a rock to clear a little tree out of the road up above Silver Falls after a hurricane blew in. Would have loved to had an electric Stihl. Or a 38 magnum

We haven't seen any bucks chasing does yet. Usually they are at least sniffing and trying a little in the mornings. Hopefully the weather change will begin to change the old bucks patterns a bit this weekend. We've been watching the bucks go to bed in the morning, and get up right before dark. They don't move all day.  The bucks, at least the ones we are watching are still pretty nocturnal.

Not sure if weather will help me.  Sounded like a war zone north of me yesterday and sitting on the south line today.  I'll congratulate them if they have any luck.

I'm not sure high fuel costs have affected the pressure.

Didn't seem to affect the road hunters that drove through the spot I was sitting behind a closed gate last night

I am just hoping for a little precipitation in the form of rain or snow this weekend so I can have a fire in my fireplace to keep my uninsulated cabin warm.  :chuckle:

Had a buck walk thru the job site this morning with a swollen neck cruising for does.

Looking like some snow might even get down to 2500 feet in the eastern cascades. Hoping to find some resident bucks that start moving with this weather change. I havent seen as much as usual with the heavy smoke.

Every Dewalt E. saw I've been around leaks oil like any gas powered saw. I still use mine a ton, and it's easy on/off is great for clearing trail, or limbs around the house.

Enough wet snow to last through the day.  Balmy now.  Bucks staying under the dark of the moon.
