Moth identification
« on: October 21, 2022, 09:07:55 AM »
This moth was straight Wilding out on our propane tank at hunting camp. Not sure if that was his tongue or something in his mouth but it almost seemed like he was trying to regurgitate something. Got some pretty good video of it too. Interesting creature and behavior

Reminds me of a scalloped hazel, but there are so many.   Things that set this moth apart are it’s vertical wings, and scalloped wings.

That could be a Crocus Geometer moth, but they are usually more yellow.
