I haven't posted on here in a few years, partly because I have a 2-year-old and an infant and any free time I had to surf HuntWA went out the window. However, I had to share my first successful hunt with my 2-year-old on here! I have an 8-acre oak woodlot on the edge of town and we made a stalk on a legal buck last Thursday on the property but he busted us. Today I took her out for squirrels on the property and we successfully bagged a beauty! It will definitely make the B&C minimums and may make the all-time awards for eastern gray squirrel. This guy was bigger than any I've shot here or in Alabama. My 1930s Savage 23AA .22 came through as it always does.
My daughter did an awesome job of whispering and pointing out squirrels from her perch in the backpack (we saw 6 others but couldn't close the deal). She was so excited to hold it up and show Mom when we walked back to the house! No deer for us so far, but we're filling the freezer 1/4 pound at a time.
Let's see if the pictures attach this time...
