With the cost of fuel right now I guess the state will save a lot of money not having to sand and plow those roads. So it seems like a good decision to me.

Just think of the money that they would save if they only had I90 open.

It would be easy to control and just think of how often they close it for weather 🤔

Chinook pass closes every winter. This year it just happened a couple weeks sooner than it normally does.

WSDOT says US 97 Blewett Pass is closed from MP 150 near Lauderdale to MP 178 near Ingallis Creek because of multiple crashes and spun out vehicles from failing to follow chain advisories.

They say there is no estimated time to reopen.

 In all my years of crossing the Cascades, I have found that those that use Chinook,Cayuse, North Cascades. Hell even White and Stevens passes are usually better equipped both physically and mentally :o to handle such a trip. When I 90 closes the idiots show up elsewhere and end up crossing Blewett to get back on their way. Here's your result :chuckle: :yeah:

We drove up to our cabin yesterday over both Sno and Blewett and I can vouch for this. Simply incredibly stupid choices all over the place.
