Good blacktail down.

Glassed him up, feeding through the ferns in dark timber at about 40 yards. With the wind and rain he had no idea I was there. Blew him over with the trusty 20 Guage smoothbore and slugs. Really skinny and run ragged from chasing does, the stinkiest rut buck I've ever smelled. I'm stoked on him.
