Check out the Maven 80mm
Better than Swaro 65mm in clarity and brightness and weight close.

50 zoom is plenty.   65mm if packing, otherwise 80-90mm

Just looked through Maven Swarovski, Leupold, and ended up with a Vortex Razor 27-60x85.  I determined it to be the best bang for my buck.

I run the Swaro 30-70 eyepiece on the 95mm and BTX on the 115mm. There's very little difference between the 95 and 115 when using the eye piece. However, the 115 gathers noticeably more light than the 95 with the BTX. I run my magnification up to 70 all the time with the 95mm and don't have issues with clarity in most lighting situations. The only time I run into clarity issues is if I add the extender. You need good lighting conditions then.

Muley: If you could only keep one ? 95 or 115 ? Eyepiece or BTX? Thinking about going to 17-40 for packing and swap 65 for bigger for truck work.

I also have a Swaro 95 with a 30-70 eye piece. You can definitely run it up to 70 power without clarity issues.

100%. If the air is good 70x is perfect clarity. 95 is a big dog though. You’ll know it’s in your pack! But it is so good I end up packing it more than the 65.

Definitely the 95. I use the eyepiece a lot more than the BTX, and do a lot of glassing with the 15's or NL12's.

For many years, I've carried both 10x on my chest and 15x in my pack.  The NL 12s took their place, and do both jobs very well.  They are pretty amazing.  Allows me to not worry as much about the weight and space of the big glass in my pack.

What kind of light conditions were you in?

I’ve looked through the same and maven really stood out, especially the last 15-20 min of shooting light.

Thank you, someone that understood what I was asking. I was thinking hard about the swaro’s and wondered if the additional 20mm is worth the extra $1500. I’d definitely be going the eye piece route, personally not a fan of the btx.

I use a Swarovski 20-60 eye piece, 1.7x magnifier, and a 95 obj.... works great when heat isn't an issue.

Overcast 8am-ish Not first light, but not fully light.

Yea Maven blew my 65 Swaro away.  I was looking at bodies thru Swaro and counting points with Maven.

Can you run a 20-60 by itself on a 95ATX, or does it become a 30-70 on the 95 I think???
