Rainier, he hasn’t taped him yet but will update when he does. I’m very curious too.
Bone, yeah that’s the buck from the live pic. I wont say too much about the type or size of buck that I am looking for but I do have plenty of time and am willing to take this the distance in search of him

So I have had the rifle permit and an archery permit in the entiat. I would have shot that 5x5 with either permit.
I have not had the raffle permit but if I did I would pass that buck today and might regret it. That is why I’m curious about the score. I feel like it will land just over 160. With the raffle tag you can use a rifle all the way until the end of the year. That is when you will see the bigger deer if they show up.

I feel he’s close to 160 but not sure if he’ll break it or not. I won't regret passing that deer. It’s about the journey not the finish line!

Exciting day today
Started off the morning bright and early and drove about 30 minutes to the trailhead only to realize I forgot my pack and spotter back at camp
Instead of a long walk I had to make a short one and head back to camp. Fast forward to the afternoon. Hiked a couple miles into my favorite glassing dune. I glassed for about 2 hours and only turned up does with no buck. I was about to leave when I did one more scan something caught my eye wayyyyy out. Obviously a buck rutting a doe and all I could see was frame. Threw the pack on and made a move to about 800 yards. Next thing I know there was an all out rutfest going on down below me. With all the bucks running in and out of the brush it was hard to keep track of who was who. Kept waiting and finally the big buck stepped out. Great forks, wide but missing a g3..
So I just settled in and watched the show. Roughly about 10 bucks everyone of them rut crazed except a cactus buck that was caught in the middle.
Ended with 13 bucks and 50+ deer total. Sadly I don’t have pics of the biggest one but got some grainy ones of the other really nice ones. I do have a video of the big one to look back on but hard to get a screenshot off of it.
1st pic is the cactus buck, 2nd a nice 2x3, 3rd and 4th a big 3x3

Threads like this have become too far apart. I recall one of these that went down to the wire on new years eve one year.

Keep looking. I just got a picture of a 33" 4x4 that a friends son shot 2 days ago in the desert unit. He was chasing 4 does very hard. They had been looking over deer for several days before this one showed.
