Another look. Our experts put him at a conservative 189"
Nice buck but there is no chance that buck makes 189” with a missing G3

Am I missing something, it doesn't seem to be missing a g3 to me.

he isn't missing a g3, it's just not a normal g3. It's also REALLY long for a g3 :chuckle:

Crooked River Ranch has a huge non typ running around.   I  almost went down to see if I could find it to see it.   I think the going rate for the last two Oregon gov tags was 25K each for private access to shoot a lawn ornament.   Maybe if you show them the purple heart they might knock 10k off.   They are fairly American in that neck of the woods.

Metolius is a good bet. Some archery competetion and tribal pressure but some good benchlegs for sure.

Steens and Juniper migrations have already happened, so probably a ghost town there.

Some good stuff on the Nevada line.

ODFW should have a feed station going soon in the Starkey, and of course as mentioned Wallowa lake or town of Lagrande probably has some pets

Send me a PM if your interested in this buck.

We are interested! We have not had much time to scout and with only a few days to hunt this tag we will take any and all help. This buck would do just fine. Left you a voice mail.

The hunter shot a real nice, dark, heavy 4x4 in some awesome country.  A good time was had by everyone. Hopefully they post a picture on here.  The organization "Outdoors for our Heros" posted it on their Facebook page.

It's a great buck.
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
