Salmon Timberlands
« on: November 09, 2022, 11:15:09 AM »
Does anyone know without absolute certainty if Salmon Timberlands in the Williams Creek unit allows free, public access?  We are hunting adjacent Hancock lands and have been trying to find anything online to contact them or fish and game office but have gotten nowhere.  We can glass across the canyon and see hunters road hunting but the roads come from a very remote place from our location.  Thanks.

Not positive but I thought Salmon was under Hancock management.  There is a lot of FIA land that has drive in permits so that may be who you are seeing driving around and maybe they have access to the Salmon Timberlands by way of that permit.  Some of those lands have changed hands as well recently and are not updated on onX.  I know Weyco bought a big chunk of Hancock and made it a lease which makes access even worse now.  Getting harder every year to find open land to hunt.

Thanks for the response.  All that jives with what we ended up finding out today.
