My guess is that if Washington had a super tag that allowed the holder to kill one of any legal game animal that the most popular choice would be elk. My choice would be bighorn sheep.

It’s hard enough to draw tags without blasting something like this out for a bunch of randos to dig up for years to come!

One look at the regs and you can see which hunts people prefer, though.

I can assure you that no one will give you a 1-5 list of places they try to draw a tag from. People put in for over 15 plus years for a branch antler bull tag and don't draw. The advice you looking for is this sir:
1) Open the game regulations
2) Look at the unit, the number of tags given out, and the number of applicants.
3) Apply to chosen units
More importantly you are going to have to know and scout those particular units you've chosen or know someone who does and is willing to go hunt with you. Seriously though, don't expect people to give up spots. Especially with onXmaps and so much technology out now. Good spots are getting harder to find and keep.

You mean one you could draw?  Because you won’t draw one of the most coveted ones just like you didnt win powerball.  Your odds are less than 1 in 30 years of trying.  Yes thats with your 20 + points.

But hey, its the same odds as flipping a coin and getting heads 5 times in a row and thats worth putting into the draw for right?

For me its the tag I personally would do the best in amd that is any quality tag in gmu 346.  I know the area good enough that I can relocate if there's another hunter at my spot.  I can use other hunters as "bumpers" if I see them or their truck parked at a spot.  I heard the blues is the best but I never hunted it.  The only hunts I would feel confident in if I've never been there in the OIL hunts. Gmu 653 is good but ONLY because I would hunt the border of gmu 346. I I used to go in there and call elk.  I used to think I was good at calling elk in close because I could do it in gmu 346 but that was the only area I hunted for my 1st 20 years.  September and early October I can call a bull in anytime I want in 346 but then when I tried on the west side I found out i really suck really bad.  The only bulls I've called in on the west side was 80% luck amd allmost accidental.

One does not hunt in order to kill; on the contrary, one kills in order to have hunted. If one were to present the sportsman with the death of the animal as a gift he would refuse it. What he is after is having to win it, to conquer the surly brute through his own effort and skill with all the extras that this carries with it: the immersion in the countryside, the healthfulness of the exercise, the distraction from his job. ~ Jose Ortega y Gasset

There are several dandy blacktail rut tags which don’t take many points to draw. That being said I still opt for quality mule deer choices

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

I like the ones that are almost invisible...until you walk up to them, and then as they meander down the countryside they get deeper and deeper. Usually, sagebrush draws.  ;)
