Congrats on a great bull moose!
I had this tag in 2019 and failed to get a bull. I kept hearing, "wait till it snows", but on November 30th there was no snow. But I spent that day hunting from dawn until dark.
I put in 12 days of hunting and only saw maybe 6 or 7 moose total and only 2 were tiny little bulls on day one.
You did very well!  :)

I totally get it, I had been 9 days without spotting a "live" moose. The only bull I saw during that spell had been killed by another tag holder. It's a tough unit.

What a monster nice see their still out there. The wolves sure have put a hurtin to them. Congrats that should make book no problem. have you put the tape to him? looks like he could go close the 180 mark way to go!

Yes I have, I think I put numbers into another post but will say that it was "rough green scored" at over 180 net so it looks like some of the books may get shuffled a bit. Again like I said in my post, this was almost total luck. Can't take credit for being a big hot shot moose hunter haha.

Great story and bull. Congrats on a once in a lifetime experience.  Thank you so much for sharing.

What a bull!!!  Congrats Joe!  I just realized I've met you and your wife and kids while turkey hunting a year and a half ago, you were getting ready to mountain bike ride down some cool trail you maintained.  Really cool seeing you get this bull and opportunity.

Thanks for sharing. That is an incredible bull! Been on a couple moose hunts now. It’s crazy they appear when you least expect it. Looks like it was a bit of a heavy load for the Jeep :chuckle:
