Beautiful pic, Doug. I miss the calendar.

Boneaddict, have you ever seen a deer sit on it's hind quarters like a dog or cat? I've seen a couple of bucks and a doe do it and always thought it would make for a great pic. Always surprised me when I did see a deer do it. Keep up the great pics.
God Bless,
Scott

Saw it this morning.  At first I thought she was peeing for a buck, then realized she was sitting. Looked awkward as hell, I thought she might be injured.   Then she jumped up, frolicked with another doe, then reared up and  stood on her hind legs boxing with the other doe.  Reminded me of two dogs in the yard.  It was all play.

Bone-
Is the country you are taking pictures in mostly mule deer country? I’m curious how far your range is and if you get many whitetail in your escapades? I’ve seen a couple whitetail pics but curious on the deer ratio.
Thanks!

Well I usually do, but haven’t seen many this year.  The whitetails population was the least I have ever seen it up in the NE corner.   Granted I wasn’t there in prime rut, but I haven’t been for the last few years.  Last week I saw 8 whitetail bucks.  I got crappy pics on one small one.  Where I saw two of them, I saw two wolves the next day and tracks of 6 of them the week before.

Nice pic Bone! He's got cool little crab pinchers! I once saw a whitetail buck crawl on his knees like a goat does when it's grazing only this guy needed to get a better smell of the dirt for the doe he was tracking! They do some crazy stuff when you can sit and watch them and they don't think any danger is around. Thanks again for an awesome buck Bone!

Thank you!  They are fun to watch.  I watched two going in circles yesterday and I thought they were going to fight.  They each had one antler.  I was ready to pop the popcorn on that one.
