How could anyone have hope?? We live in a Blue state, ran by the WORST Governor ever if you're a true outdoorsman. Looking back at what has transpired, it's all been planned. Starting back to outlawing dogs for cats and bears. They have been slowly and methodically picking and implementing regulations that would one day set up their big plan. Everything that is now in place cannot be changed, like hound hunting. So, since the predators are here to stay, their only argument for "saving" the deer, elk, and fish population is to ban all hunting. I've seen it coming for so long, and people looked at me like I was a conspiracy theorist. These peolpe pushing this stuff truly dont care about our game population, they care about being antihunting. So, if they dont see first hand how predators effect our game, its worth it to them if it means banning hunting.
His term ends at the end of the year. Not much of a resignation, more like a "don't reappoint me.."

That was done by a ballot initiative in 1996 that had a very well put together and misleading ad campaign by multiple anti-hunting and AR groups. Groups which some of the current commission members are proponents of to this day. That's why it's so hard to get that law changed. It would take another ballot initiative to be voted on "by the people" to overturn it. Which it would never fly in this state as now there are too many bleeding hearts that have no clue as to how real game management should be done for any species.Gary

I know is was a vote, thats also why I said it won't be changed, because we won't get a vote to overturn it. I literally said "Everything in place cannot be changed" because it would have to come to a vote, which will never happen, because we live in a Blue state and have the worst Gov if you are a Outdoorsman.
So who is going to fund the department after they get rid of all consumptive use; both fish and animals? Also, who is going to get into the enforcement end of things if they do find funding. I believe that enforcement folks are still by and large hunters or at least aren't antis. I can't really see the tofu eaters becoming enforcement officers, going out into the woods to try to catch gun carrying folks. It will end up in the same condition as Kenya where no hunting is allowed. Since there will be no legal hunting, it will become a free-for-all with little enforcement. Not good for the wildlife.
This may not be the right place, but could we try to get rhe innitiave banning hound hunting back to a vote? Get big donors to spend tons of ad revenue in seattle showing all the positives etc and the benefit to wildlife?
