Has anyone been out on the firing center lately? My sons tag opens in a few weeks and I’m just curious what the elk numbers are looking like out there.

My son was the only one to kill on the opener. I know of 2 killed on day two. There was some tribal kills both days.

Chains will be a real good idea.   The Wenas is an ice block.  Temps hanging at 31 to 32 and raining, but ground just came off of sub zero temps.   Gravity is a real biotch

It's 40 at RC, snows turning to slop. Better stay on graveled roads, the secondary dirt roads with be going to he!!, shortly.
