I need a weasel pic.
« on: May 24, 2009, 08:33:46 AM »
I am sending in an article to a magazine hopefully to be published and I need a weasel picture of high quality to include.  There will be no payment as I am doing it for free, but you will get the photo credit if it is used, and help me out.  Does anyone have a great weasel shot.

Hey, Bone!

I've been away from a computer for a few days (Yellowstone) - otherwise I'd have replied to your request sooner.

I have these two weasel pics from my Klamath honeymoon.  We just got lucky, as it came out of it's hole right in the middle of a bright sunny day.  Weird, as they are quite nocturnal.

The pics may not be up to par, as the whole incident happened very quickly, and he went back into his subterranean lair after just a second or two.  I didn't have time to look at my settings, or to make any adjustments.  Anyway, if you think they're good enough to use in your article, feel free to use them - I'd be glad to have them be of use to you.  Just let me know if you want 'em, and I will email you the full resolution files.

-Tom

Cool Tom.  I'll have to look at them when I get home.  I'm blocked at work.  I asked for weasel pics Robo, not more turd pics.  You guys are sure infatuated with taking pictures of turds.  :chuckle:

Hey, Bone     Yellowstone was a long weekend trip.  Drive there Friday, spend Saturday and Sunday in the park, then we spent yesterday driving back to WA.  Mostly a photo trip, really.  It was just Kristin & I - no kids this time.  She loves seeing all the wildlife, and I love to photograph it, so it works well for both of us.

It's the time to go to Yellowstone.  By mid-June, most of the wildlife will be far from view.  We had many good photo ops.  Haven't downloaded the pics yet, but I'll do so today.  I think the best shots will be the grizzly ones that are insane closups of his head as he made his way toward us.  I can only hope that they're sharp & clear.  I'll post a few here when I get them downloaded & sorted out (there's alot to go thru). I only wish we could have been there for a few more days - we saw a lot of wildlife, but there's alot we missed, too.  There's only so much you can do in two days.

Those are sweet Tom.   I'd love to submit them with your photo credit.  If they publish them I'll get you a copy or two of the magazine.  It actually fits right up your alley.  I'm not sure if they will publish it or not yet, I haven't even finished it, but we'll see.  My e-mail is massivemuleys@aol.com  if you want to send them to me.
AWESOME

Looking forward to seeing your yellowstone shots.  I'm about as twisted.  We almost went to Utah this next weekend to do some shooting around the Arches.   Decided to save money and stay local though.  Now I am signed up for a soccer tourney.

add sports lens to the macro one :)
