The Aqua view my buddy has is the smaller cheaper one, he doesn’t even attempt to use it now that he’s seen mine.  He’s going to sell or give it away.

The cord on his aqua view is very thin, the problem is it makes it harder to stabilize in the water.

If you’re looking at aqua view make sure the cord is thicker and stiffer, it makes panning so much better.

Daughter and I had a good day at Fish Lake on Monday. Got our limit in under two hours and before the wind got really bad.

Nice! I was really hoping to hit Fish lake this weekend, never fished it before. Fished Curlew today. It was super windy. Caught some unwanted dinky slime rockets.

I'm sorry that knowledge is above my pay grade, what are "dinky slime rockets"?

Slimers, slime rockets, for the white meat purists are referred to for the local trout. The parasites are called CO-pods. WDFW will tell you they won't harm you if cooked properly. I'm not so keen about feeding them to my wife. Trout in Pierre had them for a while.

So Curlew sucked again. Lots of fish on the Garmin but not a lot of takers. Talked to some other guys and they said it’s been super finicky and slow the past few weeks. Okay enough of that. Can you get to Pierre from Orient and is there enough room up there for a pickup and side by side trailer. Think I’ve had it with Curlew for a bit.

You can get there from Orient - either up Orient cutoff rd to Pierre Lake rd or up Rockcut rd to Pierre lake rd

But I wouldn’t go either of those roads, I would turn at Barstow store and take Pierre lake road from there after you cross the Barstow bridge and turn north, that will take you to the lake

The boat launch is plowed, but narrow and not a lot of place to park.  It is a circle though so you don’t need to back out.  Just park on the side over as far as you can get

I don’t have an ice report, just drove in and looked

Is the Orient side kinda rough? We’re staying at our cabin in Curlew so we’re coming over Boulder.
