Sig P320 question.

Any advice on the Sig P320 9mm. I have read some stories about law suits that the gun can go off on its own even by some law inforcement officers. Any information from anyone on this site know anything. Thanks in advance.

Yes, they did have issues with them. If you look it up, they did a modification to the slide. The SIG website did list a serial number range of the discrepant ones. The modification was an oversized slot which they were doing for free. I sent them my SN and said it was OK.

I've had a Subcompact version for many years now.
Gets carried a lot .
And its a good shooter.
Its one of the better tupperware wonder nines.
Just make sure you get a proper holster for it and remember that its a striker fired machine.
Many AD are the result of 'something' catching on the trigger.

I got a P320 M18 because I wanted a manual safety, so that’s an option.

I like mine. There's tons of aftermarket parts for them too. Easy take down to clean and accurate. I swapped my grip module for the one from Wilson Combat if the pop can grips don't work for you - I mostly wanted some undercut below the trigger guard.

I had a Sig P320, after about 1000 rounds the recoil spring got softer and started to have problems. Buy a Glock 19X, you will never have any issues.

You forgot the part about Glock fits/shoots to a completely different point of aim if you've developed handling skills with other handguns.

FWIW, I have several P320s.  Very happy with them.  Shot my FS in this year’s IDPA season and had a hoot.  No reliability issues what so ever.  Each of my P320s is reliable, accurate and “fits” me.  Glocks don’t.

What I perceive from the law suits is either poor training , complacency or poor choice of holsters on part of the user.  Key to the P320 ( or any other striker gun ) is vigilance when handling one- especially when holstering it apparently.  Again, I’ve had no problems, reliability nor accuracy wise.

With the 320, you can change grip modules to suit your hand - my preference is for the Wilson grip module.

If you remain concerned about the P320 , another striker gun to consider is the CZ P10 series.  I successfully shot my P10c the previous IDPA season and had zero issues with it.  While not as modifiable as the P320, it usually is less expensive new.
