Airplane food.  LOL.  Flying on Christmas day.....

You think you are. Airline terminal food is better anyway!!! Good luck.

What's in the marinade? I bought mine a little early and might just do that.

Olive oil, worchestershire, garlic, black pepper, oregano, basil, and lemon juice

I think I might sub the Worcestershire out with fish sauce.

@NOCK NOCK    Is going to loose his mind.🤣

 :chuckle: :chuckle:

Another thing I don't like/understand is how can folks take a PERFECTLY cooked (med rare) piece of prime beef, and then put horseradish or A1 on top of it.  Guess I just like the taste of blood/meat.  :tung:

Back on track.....

This thread is useless without pictures!

Prime rib with a garlic/pepper/misc spice crust under a kosher salt crust.

Medium rare no thanks and Horseradish goes on all red meat.

I draw the line at fish sauce though :chuckle:

I changed up the marinade  by subbing the fish sauce with oyster sauce and adding red Chinese vinegar, dry sherry, tamari soy, and 5-spice blend.

I've had a black bear ham brining since last weekend. It should pair well with the mac and cheese.  let's hope it turns out.

Rib roast and the usual stuff. Adding smoked elk like sandwich meat slices to sister in laws charcuterie board. Other sister in law is providing a brisket for me to smoke  :dunno: okay I guess.

20lb prime rib sous vide for 12-14hrs, haselback potatoes, green bean casserole, cranberry and toasted almond green salad, deviled eggs and dinner rolls.  I'm doing dinner for my family and breakfast for the girlfriend family all on Christmas day.  Only have to feed around 40 people total

Our house is starting to smell really good. :) I'm about ready to punch down the bread dough and separate it into loaves and I'll put the homemade noodles in the chicken broth to simmer in about an hour. Today is all about family and food.

Uncured ham I cooked, and made a whiskey glaze for. It was delicious.

Plus mashed taters, roasted Brussels sprouts, and deviled eggs.👍
