Thoughts on a guided coyote hunt
« on: December 31, 2022, 01:54:29 PM »
My son has had decent success deer hunting and even an elk success.  However, he is always bringing up his desire to shoot some coyotes (dad has been a terrible guide for this  :chuckle:) Any recommendations for an area in WA and/or guide for a coyote hunt. My son graduates high school this year and looking to do a little senior trip with him in late June/early July that includes a coyote hunt.  (also some carp bowfishing and some other fishing)

Thats kind of an offseason for them I'd think. hmmmm    Between skeeters and fireseason, but Moses Lake or potholes (desert) would be good to see them.   I dont know about guides.

Consider calling MarDon Resort on Potholes. There is good carp shooting and fishing on the reservoir. If they don’t guide carp shooting they probably know someone who does.

Yep, what Dano said.

My son and I did a trip with them a few years back. It was a great time, we went in May. We were working around my sons baseball schedule and trying to time it when the pups come out of the dens.

I 100% think that at least 1 guided coyote hunt would be a great idea... mainly for the learning experience, best way to shorten the learning curve is to go with people who already know.   It can be addicting...
