I Caught a 26.2 lb Tom today. Couldn't believe it! I used some meat from my beaver I caught and a little bit of bobcat scent gland. Trap was out for a week or two. ( I checked it everyday) I was going to try a new spot when I went to check it today. Glad I hadn't moved it already!

Bone, I left it just as is. But it did freeze for a few days solid. So it was rather fresh still when the cat got there. He took advantage and ate all of it, last of my bait! Haha

That makes sense. I watched a small Bobbie revisit a deer carcass for almost 2 months many years ago. THat was in the methow where it seldom thawed. It eventually got buried in snow and he literally dig a tunnel to it.

While he would make a very nice scarf, the gf is set on a rug or mount!
