FOUND IT! Walked 4.5 miles, crawled under sticker bushes and found the other side! So stoked. They ended up about 150 yards apart.

I highly doubt those are a set.
Looks a lot like a set to me?

The bases look nothing alike. Regardless what the forks do the bases should look similar. Those don’t.
I know these posts are older but I came across this pic recently. If they were side by side I'd never guess it was a set. A buck a buddy shot a few years ago was like this too. Completely different shape, and even the little bumps around the bases were different.

If that set was side by side and FRESH I could tell you if it was a set. If they were old
Like in this pic it would be hard to say for sure.

they are fresh, I know they look a little light in the photo but they are this year.  Maybe they dropped early dec??  I will try and get better pics later tonight, would try a video but that never works on here for me. I'm just not sure if deer pedicles are exactly the same size or not on deer, I know these are slightly different size.

I was referring to the dead head above. I know your sheds are fresh and the pedicles may or may not be similar but the horns will look similar if it’s a set. I think you’re missing my point. The coloring on a set will be similar because they have been sitting on the same deer head running on the same stuff all year. The two horns you found are not similar in color.

Here’s a couple elk sheds I found last week about 200 yards apart. They are similar but you can see they are not a match.

yeah, I agree.  Not sure they are still there, been all over and too many people doing the same thing anymore, sucks how popular antler hunting is.

Well, my 6th trip out was the one. Finally on the board for 2023.. nice little side by side set. I found them about 10 yards apart.

2 turkeys opening morning led to a change of plans to look for sheds. Found about 75ft apart, thankfully we had 4 guys to help find the match. Pictures don't do justice. I believe there from this year.
