Maceration with aquarium heaters work for me.  A few days, everything falls off, brains pour out.  No pressure washing involved.  Nasel bones intact.  Rinse, dawn soak, peroxide to whiten.

One of the worst smells I have ever encountered.  I tried it once.....did it in the garage and the smell seeped into the house....wife about killed me.  Seriously...it would knock a buzzard off a turd pile.   :puke: :puke:

I work in a field where I smell some of the worst smells a human body can produce (dead and alive).....and a skull macerating in my garage beat the worst smell I have ever smelled by at least ten fold.

Wouldn't do it in the house or garage.  I have a small greenhouse structure I use.  Not that bad if you don't get the water on you.  The end result is well worth it to me.

I do maceration as well, with a bucket heater you can buy at the farm supply store.  Bucket is left outside and stink isn't noticeable, particularly if you change your water now and then.  I help it along by pulling off the chunks when they loosen up, and spraying out the cavity in the sink.

Love maceration but yes the smell of death rotting flesh is horrendous.I also use a bucket heater with an ink bird thermostat. However  it’s in a big cooler of clean water then I can pull the 5 gallon buckets out and not disturb the heating system
