I worked in a steakhouse when I was young.
We would thaw out steaks with a fan.
Worked  good.

Sounds like an excellent score! Glad your wife was able to grab some! Fish & Chips battered filets with KFC or Long John Silvers coleslaw and some good baked beans makes one of my favorite meals.
I felt like a one legged cat trying to bury a terd on a frozen pond!
