I used to have a Knight MK85 ? I believe. Shot some nice Bulls and Bears with it. Bought a CVA Accura and gave the Knight to a hunting buddy. Never cared for the CVA but did kill a Bull with it. Just got a Knight Ultralite 2 weeks ago and what a sweet little front stuffer it is. Very excited to get it ready for Idaho this year.
The mountains are calling and I must go

Blackhorn 209 is a really great powder, but get ready for sticker shock if you can find it.  Sportsmans Whse. has it as well as Coastal Farm and Ranch.  The jugs of powder are now 8 oz. instead of the 10 oz. size they used to be.  The price is now over $75.00 per jug.  CRAZY expensive.

CVA Paramount Pro Colorado is what I went too... most accurate muzzleloader I've shot, and simple to clean.

My old man picked one up two years ago, and after seeing his I bought one myself! Awesome muzzleloaders!

For me, absolutely. Not knowing your circumstances I don't know.  I have the "buy once cry once" mentality.  I did upgrade from the Remington Ultimate Muzzleloader, and am happy with the decision to do so.

We each put brakes on them, and they have the kick of a .243 or .308 I'd say.  Pleasure to shoot, whereas I was pretty sore after a range day with the RUM.

I have a knight ultralite 45 and love it. If I could have found the paramount pro 50 Colorado it’s what I would have bought though. I will be doing some modifications to the knight this year. Having the peep moved to the rear of the gun instead of way out front like they come from factory!

I like the northwest edition, you can make them Idaho compliant, Washington etc

Not a muzzy guy, so I like that it’s got options

It’s hard to go wrong with knights. My bighorn has been flawless. I heard to many bad things about reliability from CVA owners. Keep it simple, #11 caps and loose powder. Ya cleaning sucks but you only have to do that once or twice a year. Barnes copper bullets are devastating.

1600 dollars for a muzzleloader. I'm sorry that's just silly
