Had to do a few test hatches to check fertility. Have a hundred or so black copper Marans, true blue Whitings, wheaten Ameracaunas and Olive eggers. fertility is good, incubator is working great. Ready for setting the important eggs, mountain quail and the impeyan started laying this week too!!

Blue eggs would be fun.

The True Blue Whitings are fantastic layers of great blue eggs. They easily outperform the Ameracaunas. The Marans have such big dark eggs they are cool to and a super calm bird overall.

And so it begins. Our new flock came home today. 3 weeks old

1 Black Leghorn
3 white leghorn
4 Blue Andalusian
4 Silver Hamburgs

All layers of white eggs just like my my wanted. We were leaving for baseball practice just as she brought them home so they were pretty nervous when I was trying to snap a pic. She called a bit ago and said they are all exploring and eating/drinking.

Looks like you're getting them accustomed to smoker pellets as well.  :chuckle: Sorry I could not resist.

North Idaho bedding pellets.
I've always wondered if they're any different from smoker or pellet stove pellets.
