Bow string question
« on: February 01, 2023, 11:19:19 AM »
What can I do to protect my new strings where they split, each half going to the opposite side of the axle?

I always trash them dragging through the brush chasing bulls.  It's a Realmx so the axles stick out  nearly an inch on each side really grabbing the vegetation

I was thinking serving them there, or sleeve

Adding the extra serving is a good plan.  The worst that will happen is the extra weight will affect performance, but it would be very minor.

I use the Primos bow sling & I seem to avoid the problem you’re describing.

I got one too, but it's not always on there, especially when in the herd

Yeah, I'd say get a serving jig and serve down the string there.

That definitely is a brush catching sob. I'm with you about dragging the bow through thick stuff while in hot pursuit!!!! I'd get a different bow that didn't stick out so much. Maybe a Mathews Legacy 2003 model....... lol. :chuckle:

In all seriousness I’d just add serving.

What’s the point of that wide cam thing?
