Unbelievable Canada has no idea how much wetland they are losing and lost basically no inventory. No inventory probably means little to no regulation for wetlands to be drained or filled in since the wetlands doesn’t seem to exist in legal any ways. If true, last 2 years of bad drought might not be the smoking gun for the 23% loss in mallard population since 2019 according to du.
