I bought  the davy crocket because of the size.  I have  used  it about 8 times, it did have  a power cord go bad, I notified the  company and they promptly  sent a new  one  out.

It uses a cord with an  adapter, you  can  run  it off  of  12v batteries as  well as  110v

I  think it  does a good job cooking

I have one. It's been a love hate relationship. I also have a Camp Chef Woodwind and I like it better to be honest. Easier to clean, comes with top racks, comes with wifi, side burner option, and every bit as effective.

I had one and have had some good cooks and some cooks go wrong due to flunky auger and now something else that i'm not going to fix, I'm done with it. Wife went out and bought a Yoder and now were happy.

Have had no issues with mine and love cooking on it! With that said though my buddy has a RevTec (I think that’s what it’s called) and I have been considering it as a replacement even though there’s nothing wrong with my GMG. Wife doesn’t see the logic….women!!! :chuckle:

We bought one for the station 5-6 years ago.  I'm not a fan.  I have used my trusted 10-15 y.o. traeger with much better success.  I'm sure a lot of it is just learning your particular smoker.  With all that said, GMG would be on the bottom of my list of smokers if I was going to buy a new one today.

I've had a GMG DB for 3 years now and absolutely love it!  Had a Treager before and ended up giving the POS away.  The GMG pizza oven addition is awesome and you can find them for about $150 bucks. Way cheaper than the Ooni pizza oven and the GMG works great.  I can't say enough good things about the GMG, including their customer service.  I was being an idiot when trying to hook up the wifi at first and they walked me through it super easy. Have had no issues with the grill and have made some amazing foods. Used it about once a week the first year I had it. Now its about every other week I'd say. Still no issues.

I LOVE mine...use it multiple times a week for the last 3-4 years. I like it because it goes in 5 degree increments instead of the 10 that Tregger does. Probably not a deal breaker for most. The price of those just seemed insane at the time I bought mine. I do shopvac the ash out of the burner once every few months (they suggest after every bag used). The only thing I have replaced was the drip pan $40. I jist got lazy and stopped cleaning it. It worked flawlessly as is but a new one has been nice since the old pan had about 3 inches of goodness on it. I scraped to old one and have it as a back up. I would not hesitate to buy one again...just don't need one yet. I did not get the one with wifi since I enjoy hanging out on the deck have a beer while it cooks. I have done jerky and smoked salmon too. It does it all

You probably still have my number from when you picked up Bell from me...feel free to give me a call or text if you have specific questions

I’ve had the Jim Bowie for 8 years now. Only issue I have had was the igniter failed about a year ago. Super easy fix and pretty cheap. I cook on mine at least 4 nights a week. Only thing I would recommend is go bigger than you think you need.

Bought a Traeger 20 years ago and it was awesome, i still use it. Went and got a new Traeger about 7 years ago when they started getting more bells and whistles and had nothing but issues for a year before i gave up on it and gave it away... Most the new Traegers are garbage.

I have a GMG now for the last 6 years and no issues to date.

Brother bought a Camp Chef Wood Wind last spring and it must be a lemon, he can't keep that thing working. We've had good luck with other Camp Chef items.

I've had one for about 10 years, worked great for about 6 months , since than have replaced almost everything due to problems. Customer service is great, but I switched to yoder and have no plans on going back.

Have had one for 3 years. No issues whatsoever.  App is easy to use and cleaning is a breeze.   Took a minute to figure out how to get even heat but once I found the sweet spot it's been great. Use it year round and have cooked almost everything on it.

I’ve had a GMG for 8 years. I did have to replace an igniter a few months ago (this is common across all pellet smokers and costs $20), but other than that it’s been flawless for what it is. That said, keep your expectations in line with the price point. Seems like some of the guys that commented paid Bushnell prices and expected Swarovski quality. It’s an entry level pellet smoker. I went with the gmg to see if I would like/use it enough to justify dropping more on a rectec/Yoder/mak/etc down the road. I was hoping to get 5 years out of it and then upgrade but the damn thing just keeps going. Just make sure and use quality pellets, not the garbage traeger pellets you can get at Costco. I miss the days of the lumberjack pellet group buys on here!

I've had a pellet grill since 2002 and I've tried them all.  All I use now is Bear Mtn.  I haven't noticed much of a difference in any of them.  You still need to clean/vacuum your grill out occasionally with ALL of them.  You can get the Bear mtn on sale occasionally for $8-9 a bag so that's when I stock up.

I’m thinking it might not be big enough honestly.

I plan to get the 380 for everyday use too

What’s really cool is the flame deflector is really big, I think I can put hickory chips on it and run it in smoke mode.  Its heavy cast iron

I had one for 4 years. Used it very regularly, average 3 times a week and some long cooks for ribs, etc. it was a good grill for the most part and for the amount I used it I can’t complain. The auger ended up giving me lots of problems at the end but I don’t think I can blame the grill or manufacturing for the amount of use/abuse I gave it. Cooked some killer meals in that thing! That being said, I think there are better pellet grills out there, RecTec being one of them and that is the route I’m going to go next. For the money though I think GMG is probably hard to beat.
